We've then checked the average coldest January winter temperature for each winter destination and recommended a NORRGEAR ski glove, mitten, liner glove, shell or combination for the specific temperature you will likely encounter at each ski resort.

Weather data has been collected from available source but always confirm with your local ski tour operator or directly with the resort you are visiting for current or expected local temperatures. Cold fingers - winter mittens best option for keeping warm!

If you know you easily suffer from cold fingers or may even have Raynaud's Syndrome, which is poor blood flow to the extremities, then winter mittens generally provide better heat retention then gloves as the fingers are closer and better able to warm each other.

Layering - baselayer & outer overmitt shells

Also adding a baselayer by wearing a pair of glove liners or an outer overmitt glove shell will further help retain hand heat and stop you're fingers getting cold. If you are considering either of these additional options, it's still important not to let your hands overheat as this will increase sweat, which will have a cooling effect.

So if you're planning a ski trip to some of the colder ski resorts on the top ten list, our recommendation is to lean towards a snow mitten plus inner glove liner &/ or glove outer shell for the best way to avoid getting cold fingers.
